Principal’s welcome

Welcome to the Boronia Heights State School learning community.

At Boronia Heights State School, our aim is to provide all students with an accessible and engaging curriculum experience in every lesson, every day. These learning experiences are designed to ensure that all students have the opportunity to experience daily success which we believe is vital for students to retain their passion and belief in themselves as learners.

Our school values students who are:

  • Learners
  • Respectful
  • Safe
  • Healthy.

We offer a broad curriculum that has clear differentiation to ensure that the learning needs of every student are addressed. We also offer a diverse co-curricular program including music, art, environmental studies, Indonesian language as our Language other than English (LOTE) health and physical education and Interschool sport program.

A clear and concise behaviour management program, School Wide Positive Behaviour support (PBL), is implemented across the whole school and is abased on taking responsibility for self and making good choices. The school is currently embarking on tier II of this program.

Our school operates a Special education program which has maintained an enrolment in recent years of 35 to 40 students. This program supports educational inclusion by providing adjustments for students verified as primarily having Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Impairment or Speech Language Impairment.

We welcome our new parents and families  and encourage you to become involved in our school through the Parents and Citizen's Association, supporting in class activities where possible and ensuring that their child is always dressed proudly in the school uniform.

I trust your time as a member of the Boronia Heights State School community will be productive and rewarding.
