At Boronia Heights State School, our School Chaplain provides optional pastoral care to support the overall wellbeing of students and the wider school community. The chaplain’s role is tailored to meet the unique needs of our students.

Chaplains may be involved in a variety of supportive activities, including:

Helping students build positive relationships and emotional resilience through:
- Breakfast Club
- Lunchtime group meetings
🌱 General Wellbeing
Promoting physical, emotional, and social wellbeing through programs like:
🤝 Mentoring
Acting as a positive role model and supporting students through:
- One-on-one meetings
- Goal planning workshops
🌏 Community Engagement
Working with school staff and local organisations to support students by:
- Contributing to school newsletters
- Arranging guest speakers (with principal approval)
📚 Educational Support
Assisting in classrooms under teacher direction to support students at risk of disengagement.
⚽ Extra-Curricular Involvement
Participating in school events such as:
- Camps
- Excursions
- Sports days
- Team coaching
