At Boronia Heights State School (BHSS), Health and Physical Education (HPE) is a vital part of school life. Through sport and physical activity, our students learn teamwork, responsibility, and the value of perseverance in achieving their goals.
Weekly HPE Lessons
All students participate in 60-minute HPE lessons each week, aligned with the Australian Curriculum. These sessions focus on developing physical skills, health knowledge, and positive attitudes toward an active lifestyle.

Students have access to swimming lessons as part of our commitment to water safety and skill development.
Surf Life Saving Queensland
Our students benefit from sessions led by Surf Life Saving Queensland development officers, learning essential beach and water safety skills.
Logan West Cluster Gala Days
Older students represent BHSS in interschool team sports, with opportunities to progress to:

- Queensland State competitions
Lunchtime Sports & In-House AFL
We offer free lunchtime sports programs, and Year 4 students can join our fun and competitive in-house AFL competition.
United Sports League
BHSS competes in this exciting league every term, with weekly games held outside school hours.
