HPE is an important part of school life at Boronia Heights State School. Through sport, students learn to work as team members, to be responsible, and to train hard to achieve their goals.
Our students participate in weekly 60-minute Health and Physical Education lessons that align with the Australian Curriculum.
In addition to HPE sessions, BHSS students have the opportunity to access our Learn to Swim Program, and learn from Surf Life Saving Queensland development officers.
Older students participate in the Logan West Cluster Gala Days of team sport, and may also qualify for Southern Scorpion District/Metropolitan West Regional/Queensland State, individual and team sports.
BHSS runs free lunchtime programs and Year 4 students have the opportunity to play in an 'in-house' AFL competition.
BHSS also competes every term in the United Sports League, where students compete outside of school hours on a weekly basis.
AFL Academy of excellenceBoronia Heights State School is an AFL school of Excellence. Our program provides year-round AFL coaching and participation in events such as the AFLQ Cup competition.
