Growing Together at Boronia Heights State School
At Boronia Heights State School, we understand that every parent wants the very best education for their child. That’s why we are committed to continually GROWing — finding new and innovative ways to enhance student learning and success.
Our Focus on Excellence
We take a whole-school approach to education, with a strong focus on improving literacy and numeracy across all year levels. Our Explicit Improvement Agenda is designed to raise academic achievement for every student through:
- Consistent teaching practices in key areas: Reading, Spelling, and Numeracy
- Building staff capability to lead and deliver high-quality teaching
- Using data effectively to tailor learning to individual student needs
- Fostering a safe and supportive environment through School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)
We set high expectations for learning and behaviour, while ensuring every student receives the support they need to succeed.
Positive Behaviour for Learning
Our school-wide behaviour program, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), encourages students to take responsibility for their actions and make positive choices. We are proud to be implementing Tier II of this program, further strengthening our supportive school culture.
Inclusive Education
Boronia Heights State School also operates a dedicated Special Education Program, supporting 35–40 students annually. This program provides tailored adjustments for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Impairment, or Speech Language Impairment, ensuring inclusive and equitable learning opportunities for all.
A Place to Belong
We are proud of our beautiful school grounds and outstanding facilities, which create a welcoming and inspiring environment for learning. We invite you to connect with us — speak to our staff or other families to discover what makes our school community so special.
We look forward to working together to create a bright future for every child.
